What type of Race suits do you manufacture?
Our range of race suits is designed to meet the full needs of competitors from those just starting in local events through to those competing in international events where a suit meeting full FIA or SFI standard is required.
What type of suit do I need if I race?
In Britain, in competitions run by local clubs affiliated to the Motor Sport Association participants, are required to wear a coverall made from fabric which meets FIA standards. Any participant in international events held under FIA auspices must wear a suit made to the current FIA standards also. We always recommend customers to check the regulations for the event or series in which they intend to compete as there may be differences from the general guide lines. A typical example of this may be drag racing or other very high risk events where a suit made to the higher SFI standard may be required.
Can I call in and buy a suit ‘off the shelf’?
We do have driver’s accessories in stock such as tops, socks, balaclavas etc (please call for availability). A majority of our suits are made to order but please call us for stock availability. We would also be happy to see you in person to discuss your requirements. Please call us on 01282 677907 to arrange an appointment.
How quickly can I have my suit?
Once all sizes and style/embroidery have been agreed (& deposit taken) production takes between 4-6 weeks, however we will ALWAYS try and improve on any dates quoted.
How do I take my suit measurements?
Please do not measure yourself, we advise that you get someone to measure you.

Can you measure me?
If you give us a call on 01282 677907 we will be happy to arrange an appointment for you to be measured on site at our premises.
Can I have embroidery on my suit?
The FIA standard requires that any embroidery on a suit passes through only the outer layer, this means that the suit can only be embroidered during manufacture. We can embroider names, sponsor’s logos and similar, or sew on badges during manufacture. We regularly make personalised suits our Contemporary styles incorporating other than standard colour ways and specialist features the customer may require. Many examples of these suits can be seen elsewhere on our web site.
What is a Proban Suit?
Our Proban suits are made of a single layer of flame retardant fabric which meets ISO 11612;2008. We offer a budget version and the more stylish Clubman version, both are available in a number of colour ways. We can make these suits to special order from fabrics made from Nomex® and other higher standard, flame retardant fabrics. These are non FIA/SFI compliant.
What is a Historic suit?
The “Historic” suit is a 3 layer replica of the style of overall used in the 1950s and 1960s but made from today’s flame retardant fabrics and to current FIA/SFI standards. This style is available in natural, light blue or shiny white colour schemes as standard and other colours on request. This style is also available as a single layer suit for those not needing FIA/SFI certification.
How do I pay for my suit?
The most convenient way to make a payment is via credit/debit card (unfortunately we do not accept AMEX at this time). We normally ask for a deposit of 50% of the full amount before commencement of any order unless agreed via prior arrangement.
